Horsebox Builders | New Build Horseboxes For Sale

Our 2 horse lorries are built on either a 3.5 van or 7.5 tonne lorry chassis. These vehicles are extremely easy to drive and handle, and give you an a good payload to carry two good sized horses, so there are no worries about going over the weight limit.

The horses face forwards or backwards, so the boxes have a side ramp, although we can also add a rear ramp as well if required. The ramps are easy to lift and are covered in ribbed rubber with integral rubber treads.

Inside you can have a choice of wooden or aluminium flooring, covered in rubber. We normally do half partitions with a rubber skirt to keep the weight down and for ease of handling. These can be padded if required and with or without a head grill. There are two horse windows and two horse vents as standard also a light and ramp light if needed. These boxes are at least 7 feet wide and 8 feet high, making it possible to carry two 17hh horse in comfort.

As a rule, there is room for 5 feet of living space in a 7.5 tonne horse. This can be kitted out however you want. From a basic tack area, maybe with seating and unit, to full day living with sink, hob, fridge, hot and cold running water, or somewhere in between. An external tack locker and skirt lockers can also be incorporated.

The lorry can be finished in the colours of your choice, in 2-pack or metallic paint, with stripes and ‘Horse’ logos to the front and rear.

HGV Horsebox

Our 3 horse lorries are coachbuilt onto a 7.5 tonne chassis keeping them below the HGV limit. These days all lorries all have power steering making them easy to manoeuvre and a pleasure to drive. They also retain the tilt cab facility for ease of maintenance.

The living area ranges from 7 to 10 feet depending on the overall length of the lorry. Cut through from the cab, they can be kitted out to whatever standard you want. There are two living windows with blinds, your choice of units, a sink, hob, fridge, hot and cold running water, toilet, shower cubicle, reversing cameras, CCTV, TV points, horse washer, leisure battery system, sleeping in the luton, and a seating area which also converts into sleeping, or whatever your particular requirements are. We also build in a large external tack locker and skirt lockers to suit.
