Wrens Horseboxes are built under supervision of the Moss family. We can truly say a Wrens horsebox is built by horse people, for horse people. With the Moss family comes a lifetime experience of transporting horses, including international horse transport, national competitions, stud work and local shows.

Not sure what Chassis to choose?
First you need to decide what size horsebox you would be happy and are licensed to drive.
Then decide if you need to carry 2, 3, or more horses and whether you need a full, day or no living at all.
When you have decided, then it is time to choose a chassis make and model.
You can either purchase a Chassis yourself or Wrens Horseboxes Ltd will find a chassis for you.
Recent Chassis Prices:
Ford Iveco Daily 59/12, 6 tonne suitable for a Wren 2. Will take 2 large horses and a day living. A 1996, P registration average price is £2900.
Leyland DAF 45/130 Turbo 7.5 tonne, suitable for all 2 and 3 horseboxes with full or day livings. A 1996, P registration average price is £5400 and a 1997, R registration average price is £5900.
Ford Iveco Euro Cargo 7.5 tonne, suitable for any 3 and 4 horseboxes with full or day livings. A 1997, R registration average price is £6000 and a 1998, S registration average price is £6900.
Euro Cargo 17 tonne, suitable for a 6 horse with full luxury living. A 1997, R registration average price is £7100.
Horsebox Construction
Horsebox Floor
Is constructed using heavy duty box steel. Bolted and welded to the chassis. We have cross member bars are every 12 inches under the horse area and every 24 inches under the living area. On top of the steel is 18mm hardwood phenol boarding. The horse area is then covered with Granulistic rubber flooring and living is covered in wood block lino.
Body Sides
Is constructed using 17mm (14mm on the Hunter range) GRP panels. Fully Aluminium skirted and a with reinforced steel skirt frame. Fitted with a service locker as standard (not on the Hunter range).
Horsebox Ramp
Is constructed using heavy duty 40mm box steel. It has a smooth aluminium exterior surface fully edged and trimmed. Fitted on the inside with 18mm marine plywood, strong nylon mat surface and five aluminium ramp runs. We use very strong over centre locks, steel reinforced pull handles and two large rubber feet. Underslung springs are used on the Elite and Wren ranges. RT style springs are used on the Hunter range.
Roof
Is constructed using 12mm white GRP fully edged and trimmed.
Horse Area Interior Fittings
The walls are covered with stucco aluminium at the top and a strong 12mm lightweight EVA sheeting below, fully edged and trimmed. Includes guarded dome light and surface tie rings. The Bulkhead wall is a steel framed, plywood and stucco aluminium covered wall, with a locking groom’s door or a sliding door.
Windows
They are hand made using toughened safety glass and aluminium. Drop slide with aluminium bars in the horse area and side slide in the living. Can be made with black frames and/or tinted glass (standard on the Elite range). The horse area windows can be made in an opening door, this is available as an optional extra as pictured below.
Horsebox Living Area
Has a large cut-through (size differs on different cab makes). There are three 36 inch x 24 inch windows on the Elite and with the no.3 living. There are two on the Wren range. Dome & Spot lights are also fitted. Built ready to fit any of our range of livings.
Horsebox Partitions
Our fully padded T-shape partitions (picture coming soon) are constructed using Galvanised 40mm heavy duty box steel, with sprung fire-out poles for quick release. They can be fitted with anti-sniff boards and tie backs (All standard on the Elite range).

The Wren is a workman like horsebox, finished to a very high standard. We have a wide range of extra’s, lockers and livings to choose from, giving you a tailor made concept to your horsebox. You can design your own style of horsebox to meet all of your transport needs.
Wren Hunter: £13,900 inc Vat + Cost of Chassis
The Wren Hunter range is a traditional style horsebox that is built to last. It has all the style and looks of a Wren, but at a budget! It makes this horsebox a very affordable price, all extras are at a minimum. painted to your choice of colours. Stripes and logos are to you own design and colours. Metallic paint is also an optional extra.
This van was specially designed to carry our own miniature Shetlands. It can carry up to 2 x 11hh ponies or several Shetlands. It is built using a 3.5 ton high roof Renault Master van (you can stand up in it). It is a very affordable price, all extras are at a minimum. painted to your choice of colours. Stripes and logos are to you own design and colours. Metallic paint is also an optional extra.

The Wren 6 Ton horsebox is built to last, on a 6 ton chassis. It can have a traditional style bow shaped luton or an aerofoil, it is fully skirted with an integral coach built body, painted to your choice of colours. Stripes and logos are to your own design and colours. Metallic paint is also an optional extra.
The Wren 6 Ton is a small workman like horsebox, built for the customer that only wants to carry 2 horses/ponies with a small living. It is finished to a very high standard. We have a wide range of extra’s, lockers and livings to choose from, giving you a tailor made concept to your horsebox.
The Luxury Wren Elite range horsebox is built to last. It can have a traditional bow shaped style luton or a full tilt aerofoil. It is a fully skirted, integral coach built body. Painted to your choice of colours (metallic paint and up to 3 colours). Stripes and logos are to your own design and colours.
Aluminium Rear Bumper.
We fit a 5 bar aluminium rear bumper, this prevents paintwork damage & protects the lights. It is straight on Hunter model and shaped around the rear lights on Wren and Elite models (as pictured).
Aluminium Steps.
We fit built in 5 bar aluminium steps as standard on all models. You don’t have to worry about leaving your steps down or even knocking them off (a step light can even be added).Aluminium Rug Rack.
We now fit a 5 bar aluminium rug rack, this has a 6″ lip at the front to stop things falling out & a support bar for stength. It is also very easy to clean.
We now make all our lutons on all of our horseboxes as big & private as we can (this depends on which chassis is purchased). We like people to feel more comfortable when sleeping in there lutons.

Horsebox Lockers
No. 1 Tack Locker.
This locker is normally fitted under the horses head on a forward or rear facing Hunter or Wren 2 model. It is now carpeted, has a wood block lino floor & comes with bridle hooks, 2 saddle rack, light and fire extinguisher.
