I am based in Essex and teach dressage to a variety of riders. I believe anyone can learn dressage, it doesn’t matter what type of horse you have. My clients have a mixture of different horses, from warmbloods, to arabs, cobs and Irish horses. The main thing all my clients have in common is the desire to learn and enjoy dressage. Likewise some of my riders compete very seriously, and there are some who have no wish to compete, but can ride a beautiful canter half pass and are quite happy for it to stay in their menage at home.
If you would like to find out more about learning dressage, please contact me.
I have moved to a new yard with a purpose-built floodlit school. Please visit this site regularly to find out more about the new facilities. I take horses for schooling, livery and holiday livery. The dressage events are run at the new yard, including some of Char Lassetter’s clinics.
Please have a look at some of my riders’ successes. I will be keeping the site updated with their achievements.
I started my riding career at the Tally Ho riding school in Essex at the tender age of four and really looked forward to my weekly lesson. I progressed to helping out to fund my lessons and soon knew I wanted to teach riding when I left school.
At sixteen I left school and the next four years were very busy with college, part time work and AI courses. I found spare time in short supply but still kept my love of horses. In 1992, I passed my BHS AI and several years later went on to pass my ABRS ATD.
In 1995 I bought Picasso II and this was when I decided that Dressage was my chosen path and soon I was working at Molecomb Stud with Char and John Lassetter. This chapter in my life was the beginning of a long working relationship with Char Lassetter which still continues to this day.
I have also received training from Conrad Schumacher and I am registered as a British Dressage Trainer.
I have competed at Inter I level and have trained riders who have competed internationally. My crowning moment was representing my country in 2007 in the Australian CDI.
Whatever your dressage dreams and ambitions are with your horses and ponies, I can help you achieve them.
