OUR ECONOMICAL RENAULT MASTER HORSEBOX
You will be hiring a top quality, newly built box, with fully comprehensive insurance and 24 hours equine roadside rescue. The box has the benefit of regular servicing so you are guaranteed to travel your horses and yourself safely in a quality build vehicle..

The box has plenty of storage; it has a lockable wardrobe so your tack is kept safe if you leave the vehicle and tack also kept clean. It also has storage above the cab.

The box has CCTV so you can keep an eye on what it going on in the back and also a flick of the switch, you can then keep an eye on your reversing skills.

Were sure you won’t break down but things do go wrong from time to time as with any vehicle so for this reason, we supply roadside rescue and they will bring a fresh new vehicle to transport your horses back.

Will the lorry carry a 17.2hh?
Yes, the lorry will carry a large horse as there is lots of headroom but the lorry is restricted on weight and has a max carrying capacity of 1050kg. Most big horses (ie a 16.2hh thoroughbred) will weigh from aprox 500kg. Please note, it is the hirers responsibility not to overload the lorry.

Do we need to put fuel into the horsebox?
We will provide you with the vehicle full of diesel and we expect it to be retuned full or charges will apply as per our terms and conditions.

If I am unable to keep my booking will I lose my deposit ?
We do understand that things can go wrong at the last minute, but deposits are non-refundable. We try to be as flexible as possible and we allow you to carry your deposit over to another date provided the lorry is available (but this must be redeemed within 2 months). All cancellations must be made 24 hours before rental date in order to carry over your deposit.

Do I need to clean the horsebox before I return it?
The box must be returned clean as you collected it but we can offer a valet service for £20 however, please due remove all manure.

Will my horse need to be insured and do I need to get insurance to drive?
Yes, your horse must be insured and you MUST carry your horse’s passport too. Full insurance included for two named drivers (subject to driver endorsements)

Is there a mileage limit to my hire?
Yes, there is a 250 mile limit on 24 hour hire unless previously agreed by us when hiring.

What age must you be to drive the horsebox?
You must be between the ages of 21 and 70 in order to comply with the available insurance policy.
Excess £500 for over 25’s and £600 for 21, 22, 23 and 24 year old.

I’ve never driven a lorry before!
Don’t worry, this lorry is similar to driving a car and very easy to get used to but by pre-arrangement we can possibly accompany you to your show or ride for £10 per hour (weekends only)

Can I take my dog in the lorry?
Yes you can, but if you can make other arrangements it would be appreciated. All dog damage (including paw prints on seats) will come off your deposit.

Can I leave my car?
Yes, It will be at your own risk and be street parking. We can collect you and take you back to the following train stations, Chertsey, Staines, Egham, Addlestone, Virginia Water and Sunningdale at no extra cost.

What happens if I break down?
Our lorry is regularly checked so there is minimum chance of breakdown. However, we have full breakdown cover with specialist equestrian rescue in the unlikely event that lorry cannot complete the journey.

What happens if I have an accident?
Unfortunately accidents can happen. You must let us know immediately but you will be covered by our fully comprehensive insurance. However, you will be responsible for the insurance excess.

What happens if I am held up and am late returning the lorry?
Just let us know as soon as possible so that we can inform the next hirer and extend the insurance cover. A late return charge of £10 per hour will be applicable to cover this.

What documents do I need?
You will need to send me photocopies of both sides of your photo license and bring the actual license on the day. We will also need the check code from the DVLA website. Please also supply 2 proof of addresses no older than 3 months old (mobile phone bills not accepted)

I want to hire – what happens next?
1, Call, text, email or fb message to check availability

2, If date free, please supply email so I can send you a link to pay deposit and terms and conditions.

3, You will need to send us back the completed booking form and photocopies of your driving license (photo and paper) both sides, We will also need copies of your utility bill (no more than 3 months old) and a copy of your driving license.

4, Once deposit received, booking will be confirmed and all required paperwork will be requested by email.

5, On the day, please bring with you originals of all the documents you have emailed me and payment for the balance as well as £300 security deposit which will be returned on return of the box as per our t&c;’s.
