Hauke Luther (Born 31 May 1965)

Hauke Luther is a German show jumping rider with an excellent equestrian pedigree, his father Peter Luther competed internationally and represented Germany on many occasions at many major championships including being part of the bronze winning Olympic team at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.

Hauke Luther comes from an equestrian family: his father is Peter Luther , his brother Thiess Luther . He grew up on his parents’ farm in Plön , where horses were “natural playmates”, as the Hamburger Abendblatt wrote in 1993. Hauke Luther became national champion, German champion and European champion of young riders in 1986. He participated several times in Nations Cups. His international successes include victories at the Grand Prix of Spangenberg (1991), Dublin (1992) (both on the horse Gaylord) and Malmö (1998) (on the horse Little Gun).

In 1998 he won the Grand Prix of Verden, In 2001, he was at Hoy’s Grand Prix Best and won the 2004 Grand Prix of Neumünster. He worked as a rider on Gut Angermünde, in September 2010 he won jumping at the Hohenwalder Horse Days. In spring 2011, Luther moved to the Vineta stable in Altenhagen . In June 2013 he won the show jumping tournament of Medelby . He later went to Norway as a jumping coach.
