A wise man once said, `work hard, play hard.` That man was Wiz Khalifa, scholar, philosopher. As far as creeds go, it`s a fine one to live by, for both humans and horses. So it`s always a delight when the Flying Feathers Heavy Horse Stakes rolls around at England`s Lingfield Park each year. Yes, it`s a horse race for the work horse, a chance to take a load off and just go gallop. This year`s edition featured both Shires and Clydesdales in a battle for brutish bragging rights.
This one goes to the Shires, as Flash, ridden by Grand National winning jockey Leighton Aspell, got up on the rail with an earth-shaking late kick.
